I just returned from this year’s
Modernism Week in Palm Springs, which promised and delivered an exciting lineup of seminars, tours and events, all in celebration of midcentury design. Highlights of the 11 days included house tours including the first public tours of Sunnylands, the 1966 Annenberg Estate, designed by A.Quincy Jones as well as tours of the Frank Sinatra Palm Springs residence; a four-day Modernism Show that showcased vintage furniture and art; a modern garden tour; vintage Airstream, trailer and car shows; lectures and bus tours. Stay tuned as I bring you more in-depth coverage of my findings at this year’s show. In the meantime, I have included a few images from the places I visited. For more information, visit
